PruTech was formed in September 1996 by Patrick Walsh, former Head of Telecommunications Development in the main Irish State industrial development agency (‘Enterprise Ireland’), to support commercial operations over Internet in the areas of Electronic Commerce (including tourism and trading).
PruTech also provided technical and strategic consultancy in those areas and in telecommunications in general to Irish businesses and now aims to expand this work to other European countries. Prutech provided continuous consultancy services to the Irish Commission for Communications Regulation (Telecoms Regulator) throughout the period 1998 and 2016.
